It's been a long time since I've made this recipe. Strangely, I was craving chili and remembered this old recipe I use to make at least 3 times a year (non-keto of course). So glad I remembered it. I turned out great and my family loved it.
The best this about this keto chili recipe is that it's SO QUICK & EASY! After the 15 min. prep and the browning of the meat, place it in the slow cooker, and go on about your day! You'll come home to a delicious, hearty meal that everyone will enjoy.
Ingredients:
2 lb. of any lean ground meat (beef or turkey)
1 large onion, chopped
(1 cup) 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
1 (28 oz.) can of diced tomatoes, undrained
1 (15 oz.) can of tomato sauce
1 tbs. garlic powder
1 tbs. onion powder
2 tbs. chili powder
1 1/2 tsp. ground cumin
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1. In a 12-inch skillet, cook beef and onion over medium heat until brown (about 10 minutes), stirring occasionally, and drain.
2. In a 4 - 5 quart slow cooker, mix beef and onion mixture with the remaining ingredients.
3. Cover and cook on low heat setting for 6 to 8 hours.
